what does it take to be a good and successful writer?

a good writer needs to be oh-so-focused on what shes doing and not having anything to go on around her. most passionate writers are gloomy, depressed, negative characters who have enriched some kind of suicidal tendency . take shakespeare for example. is there a doubt of his abnormal attraction to killing of his main characters one by one? atleast he does it in the most romantic fashion.

well, nah. some serious writers aren't that, umm, goth. if they aren't, they're extremely intellectual. braniacs who use the most profound of words.
but me? i just happen to like writing. yeah, like. you know, the kind of mad passionate ardour that i'll never experience with anything else. the kind of fervor that's dangerously obsessive. to put things simply, im in looooove with writing.


"a writer is born, not made."

what if i wasnt born a writer? what if i was just influenced by my nerd-of-a-friend company? and what is this 'writer's soul' they all keep on rubbing on my face? do i have that?

there are so many good writers out there. a handful of them are phenomenal. out of a thousand so who have pursued writing, no matter how passionate, striving, true or intellectual most of them are, about only less than a hundred have made it. there's a verrry little guarantee that i'll get through.

what do i have to do, then? do i have to imitate chun sue, the author of "beijing doll", who according to todays newspaper has written her novel when she was in the fresh age of 17 and had it published two years later. i'm almost 17, you know! well, heck.. i haven't so much written for the school paper yet to call anything a start, unless of course you consider the time when i was in second grade and passed a rhyme about christmas, which to my furry is less than irrelevant.

this doesn't even mean anything. all i have is this blog. and i consider it serious work. kinda. i mean, i do consume a little less than an hour for long and well-though articles (unlike this one). that's being serious, is it not????
